Save A Few Pennies at Target
Sioux City has a Target Greatland store that recently underwent a remodel. This remodel included a fresh grocery section. While it is not the biggest fresh grocery section, it has some pretty decent offerings. One could do all of their shopping there, as long as they don’t want more than apples, grapes, clementines, a few select salad mixes, tomatoes, and fresh herbs for produce. There is a very small fresh meat section that has a few packages of hamburger and some stew meat and that’s about the sum total of it. There is a small selection of lunch meat and cheese, and a fairly large refrigerator section for milk, butter, eggs, yogurt, etc. There is also a decent sized freezer section and the non-perishable aisles are pretty well stocked themselves.
We were at Target yesterday and I found some deals on products that were not in the weekly advertisement flyer. These included – Market Pantry Spaghetti Sauce for $1, Market Pantry Spaghetti for $1, a few varieties of parmesan-type cheese (reduced fat) for $1.25 (Our Target is now claiming that these were put in the wrong place and that the actual product on sale were Muir Glen tomatoes, which have never been in that spot – the cheese has always been there.). They also have bags of ice-glazed frozen chicken breasts, Market Pantry brand, for $5.99 and both Pepsi & Coke 12 pack products 3 for $11. Of course, these deals may not be available in your area, as I am sure that different areas will have different deals going on. But if you happen to be in the Sioux City area, you might be able to snag these deals.
But what I liked the most was the coupons I found/received. I bought 2 packages of stew meat that each had a $2 off coupon attached to them. That meant I got my stew meat for $4 each instead of $6. Plus I had a coupon that gave me $3 off a grocery shopping trip of $30 or more – so instead of paying $41 for my groceries, I paid $34. And I got a coupon for $7 off my next grocery shopping trip of $75 or more at Target – if I use it by the 28th of April. I also have a $2 or $3 off a $25 grocery shopping trip at Target to be used by the 1st of May.
I also have a few coupons for things like dish soap, apples, and a few other assorted items in LaShawn’s purse that I’ll see if we can use when we go shopping tomorrow.
Good grief, what started out as a heads-up post for a few possible deals at Target turned into a behemoth of a blog post! I hope you can get some use out of the deals I posted about at your local Target – or see what deals might be lurking in the aisles!
